Description
EtherCAN CI-ARM9/RMD acts as a gateway between CAN and Ethernet systems. It is essentially suiteable for applications where processing of messages in the gateway is needed. This includes i.e. visualization of CAN messages by a Web server, complex protocol conversions and others. A Freescale ARM9 CPU (I.MX287) clocked with 454MHz gives enough power for these applications. The device has 128MB SDRAM and 2GB eMMC Flash memory. The CAN interface is realized by the two internal CAN controller of the CPU. Both channel are individual galvanic decoupled from CPU and power supply. A USB 2.0 full speed host interface enables the connection of external peripherals like USB memory sticks or USB WLAN adapters. The SD-Card slot allows to handle huge amounts of data when i.e. logging CAN data. The module is intended to be rail mounted.
