Fire dampers are a protection against the spread of fire and combustion fumes in ventilation or air conditioning ducts.
On board ships, they isolate the compartments and therefore increase the safety of the installations.
The damper has a fixed frame and blades made of painted or hot galvanized steel. They can be installed in any position and can be fitted with circular flanges.
A temperature rise in the ventilation ductwork releases the thermal fuse fitted with circular flanges. The release temperature of the fuse can be 50, 74 or 100°C.
These fire dampers are type-approved (BV, LRS, EBS…) in categories from A0 to A60. They can be installed in rectangular or circular ducts.
