Oval gear flowmeters are flowmeters produced for liquid flow reading and calculation. Oval gear flowmeters are flowmeters that are frequently used in instant and total flow control or measurement. It is preferred due to its high measuring range, use in fluids with high temperature and viscosity, and easy and convenient installation. While turbine flow meters are not suitable for use with high viscosity fluids, oval gear flow meters can be used easily in these areas.
In oval gear flow meters, the measurement is made in the test room of the oval gear flow meter. In this section, there is a pair of oval teeth connected to each other. The oval tooth pair performs its rotation thanks to the liquid differential pressure formed between the inlet and outlet. Flow rate is calculated by determining the number of turns of these gears. The rotational speed of the oval teeth changes depending on the fluid differential pressure between the purlin speed and the increasing or decreasing inlet and outlet.

These flowmeters provide wide measuring range, high sensitivity, good resolution and pendant mounting features in liquid flow measurement without the need for extra parts. Oval gear flowmeters are suitable for measuring all kinds of liquid fluids under ambient conditions, as well as measuring hot water, hot oil or steam below 180°C. Oval gear flow meters have digital pulse output feature with analog indicator on them.
