Optimum adjustment of biological processes in wastewater treatment
As part of biological wastewater treatment, bacteria require a well-balanced nutrient system of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and special trace elements. Industrial wastewater in particular often exhibits nutrient deficits, which can lead to a drop in performance or even the demise of the biomass. With anaerobic systems, too, biogas production may fail.
Sludge flotation is a serious problem in many activated sludge plants. Floating sludge, or bulking sludge, is caused by an increase in filamentous organisms in the biomass and requires the use of special treatment chemicals. We offer various powder or liquid products that prevent sludge flotation.
We treat the excess sludge produced in biological systems, so that an optimum dewatering result is achieved, and disposal costs are minimised.
