• Highly flexible construction with excellent adaptation to slot unevenness
• Very low installation heights possible from approx. 1.2 mm thickness
• Simple, low-cost setup
In an NWT-FLEX, an insulated platinum wire is applied to a very thin, flexible carrier housing to form a bifilar measuring winding and insulated with shrinking tube. The bifilar winding prevents any induced voltages, which could lead to measuring errors, from occurring. The carrier housing allows excellent contact despite any unevenness in the slot. The supply line is connected with the measuring winding in a 2, 3 or 4 wire circuit.
The version is to be laid with strain relief and has a dielectric strength of max. 3 kV at 15 s high voltage – depending on the type of shrinking tube insulation. Due to the lack of carrier housing, this construction should only be installed with low pressure on the measuring line if possible.
