In some special applications, these sight glasses provide better visibility in maintenance work, as they do not have a protective grid. In contrast to oil level gauges with a two-chamber protection system and stainless steel grid, constructions with single windows are therefore used particularly in protected areas. The series with special Makrolon glass is a special construction that combines the benefits of the single window with the robust properties of the two-chamber system. Thanks to the special Makrolon® polycarbonate glass, these systems can withstand impact from objects with a mass of up to 30 g and a speed of up to 50 m/s. The operating temperature is between -30°C … +120°C, with short peaks of up to 150°C (< 5 min). A reflector can be installed and markings applied on request.
