The microprocessor controlled laboratory Power Supplies »E/PS 5000« of EPS Electronic Power Supplies are ideally suited for schools, laboratory and workshop because of their desktop case. The units are equipped with a flexible auto-ranging output stage which provides a higher output voltage at lower output current, or a higher output current at lower output voltage, always limited to the maximum nominal output power. Output voltages from 40V (SELV) up to 200VDC, Currents upon 40A at an output power of 640W are available. In order to ease adjusting of values by the existing rotary encoders, it can be switched between coarse and fine setting mode, just by a key stroke. Thus Voltage, Current and Power can be represented clearly via the four digit display. To prevent unintentional operations, all operations controls can be locked. The USB interface is provided for standard to program and record the output voltage and current. Besides the units are provided with a memory function for nine different preset values, with the ability to save and recall these just by the push of a button. Remote sensing can be done via a dedicated input which is directly connected to the load equipment, in order to compensate for voltage drops on the load cables. Series (not 200V) or parallel connection are possible. The DC output clamps on the front are suitable to connect soldered cable ends, spade lugs, cable end sleevers or 4mm Büschel plugs. The auxiliary output on the rear (32A max.) is of type a screw terminal. As well as an option is a safety adapter set available, used to achieve a non-contact safety socket.
