The 494 MC is a washability and scrub resistance tester, manufactured by Erichsen. The microcontroller-operated device is specifically designed for determining the washing and scrubbing resistance, a the cleanability of dispersion paints particularly the wall paints. The broad line of its flexible parameters enables a number of additional tailored/customized testing matters, e.g. to test cleaning agents/solutions. Models of the series are basic devices, equipped with base plates, flexible feet for levelling, foil keyboards, 6-line display each, adjustable stroke rates and stroke paths, and parameter memory mechanisms for 20 test cycles. 3 parallel test cycles are also available. The device is provided with power pack, glass plate, stainless steel trough with outflow connection, spirit level, an ISO-adapter. It sports no abrasive accessories.
