Thanks to Roll Bond technology, we have realised UnaSolare + a hybrid solar module consisting of a 60-cell photovoltaic panel in PERC technology, where the conversion of the sun's rays into electrical energy takes place, and an aluminium collector called a roll bond placed against the back of the panel where thermal energy is generated and transferred to the heat transfer fluid flowing in the collector.
Among the many benefits of this technology is the increased production of electricity due to the cooling of the photovoltaic cell. The thermal energy produced by the module can be used in the domestic sphere for the production of domestic hot water, supplementing room heating or swimming pool heating, and in the commercial/industrial sphere for the need of thermal energy for production processes.
The high thermal efficiency also allows the UnaSolare Plus hybrid solar module to be used in cooling systems known as ‘Solar Cooling’, as the module is capable of producing water at 80/90°C and then running absorption machines to produce cooling. Other advantages include:
- Increased ‘longevity’ of photovoltaic modules as cell hot-spot phenomena are prevented;
- Direct coupling of the module to a water-to-water heat pump heating system using the module as a heat exchanger alternatively or together with surface (GeoCompact) or deep geothermal probes;
- No snow accumulation on the modules guaranteeing the continuity of electricity production;
