A unique all-black monocrystalline silicon hybrid solar module, designed to get the most out of solar energy in a single, simple and modular device, with the function of a solar cogenerator as it can simultaneously generate Electrical Energy and Thermal Energy.
Solar energy that is not transformed into electrical energy is recovered in thermal energy thanks to a roll bond plate, which constitutes the solar collector, placed on the underside of the photovoltaic module. The recovered energy is used to heat the heat transfer fluid circulating in the module. In addition, the increased electricity developed contributes to savings on the electricity bill.
Thanks to Roll Bond technology, we have realised a hybrid solar module consisting of a 60-cell photovoltaic panel with a black frame and backsheet, where the conversion of the sun's rays into electrical energy takes place, and an aluminium collector called a roll bond placed against the back of the panel where thermal energy is generated and transferred to the heat transfer fluid flowing in the collector.
Other advantages include:
- Increased ‘longevity’ of photovoltaic modules as cell hot-spot phenomena are prevented
- Direct coupling of the module to a water-to-water (helium-assisted) heat pump heating system using the module as a heat exchanger alternatively or together with surface (GeoBond) or deep geothermal probes.
