Based on the constructive design of the pallet rack system, this solution has been specifically designed for the storage and processing of cylindrical heavy goods with a central spindle, such as large coils or reels of cables, pipes or rope, rolls of paper or other laminated materials, etc. The design is made up of lines of standard racks arranged in parallel and joined at the top and rear by conventional system bars for pallet-racking large loads. Spaced at height, they are fastened to every second rack on which the products to be stored are held; the racks have central fittings for the ends of the metal bars of the reel spindles. Thanks to the practical specifications of this structure, it is usually attached to the walls of the room in single lines or in the middle of the room in double lines, since the shelves can only be accessed from the front. In this case, they are designed for heavyweight, large-sized coils handled by forklifts or special machinery. The goods can be placed on the structure for static storage or for regular consumption of the material contained using the built-in winder mechanism. The design of the support system for the spindle in the semicircular slots on the load racks lets the coils rotate on demand to supply the required quantity of product.
