Modular shelf unit with an effective interlocking system for coupling uprights and crossbars that does not require the use of screws. The fastening system of the crossbars is very stable and safe and fitted on the outer face of the upright, making the structure very stable and giving it a remarkable load capacity for more flexible construction options when expanding the unit vertically and horizontally. The ‘starter’ shelf unit has four vertical uprights to which the same number of pairs of crossbars and shelves can be fitted. The upper and lower levels are completed with two crossbars each for structural stability. Crossbars can also be fitted at middle levels to increase the rigidity of the shelf unit. Different types of surfaces can be placed on the crossbars: natural or melamine-finish agglomerate boards and, as an option, galvanized or painted metal panels; in conjunction with the overall size of the unit, the type of material chosen influences load capacity. Pairs of uprights can also be added with their respective beams and crossbars to extend the ‘starter’ shelf unit using additional modules and forming single or double lines of the required length. However, although it is designed as an "expandable" product, it can also be used in individual modules. The SINcord Plus shelf unit has a simple, efficient and very firm design and is suitable for large moderate load requirements.
