Fuse links from eti with aM characteristics have been designed to protect switchgears, controlgears, along with motors in motor drives. They are used where gG characteristics are not in compliance with what is essential to successfully protect the device. They are available in all standard NV sizes between 00 to 4a for voltages up to 690 V and for all standard current ratings.
The primary function of these devices to maximise the usage of switchgears and controlgears in the starting currents region. This is to avoid sparking or damage of protective contacts if there are short-circuit currents.
It is important to note the fuse-links are meant for protection only in the limited region of short-circuit currents.
