Description

Gasketed plate heat exchangers At the moment EURO HEAT has 10 different types of gasketed heat exchanger in its production line with connections from 1 ” up to DN200. The basic characteristics of this type of heat exchangers are operating pressures up to 25 bar and temperatures from -10 ˚ C to 150 ˚ C. In the Gasketed Plate heat exchanger, pressed corrugated metal plates are assembled in a pack and bolted in a frame. Between each pair of plates there is a rubber gasket, which prevents the fluids from being mixed and from leaking out of the plate pack to the surroundings. The plates hang from a top carrying bar and are located by the lower bar. The plate pack is sandwiched between a fixed frame plate and movable pressure plate, and is tightened to a predetermined overall length by lateral tightening bolts. By using different types of plates, with different characteristics, the exchangers can be adapted to a wide variety of applications. The exchangers can easily be disassembled for inspection, maintenance or even expansion by adding plates. Gasketed heat exchangers are characerized with high efficancy, small dimensions, possibility of using different materials, quick and easy maintains. These heat exchangers are widely used in many systems, such as: distric heating, cooling systems, food industry, pharmaceutical industry and many more.
