Description

Ophthalmic lens tinting machine Programmable machine for solid and graduated tinting of ophthalmic lenses APPLICATION SECTORS optics (lenses, sun lenses etc.) The IRIDE LAB 5/5 lens tinting machine, made of AISI 304 stainless steel (EN 1.4301) throughout, is a bench-top instrument designed for use with water-soluble dyes. IRIDE LAB can tint lenses in both solid and graduated tints in any required intensity; the system features five 5-litre pots: four working pots and one service pot. Each pot can hold 2 pairs of lenses and can be replaced in just a few minutes with another pot containing a different dye. The working pots rest on a heating plate that keeps the dye at the preset temperature. A laminar flow circulation system keeps the dye constantly in motion, avoiding turbulence but maintaining uniform dye distribution. A suitably designed overflow keeps the dye level constant. The automatic evaporation compensation replenishment system operates without affecting the dye temperature. The working pots are equipped with the IRIDE GRAD lifting system, designed to adapt to any process curve programmed by the operator. Process curves can be customised for solid or graduated tints, intensity, position and size of the transition zone, right up to the material type and lens type. Once the tinting process has been programmed, it can be stored on a PC and retrieved as necessary. The electromechanics of the lifting system ensure soft movements along its whole path, so as to prevent the creation of horizontal lines. The management software can be easily updated whenever necessary.
