The device makes it possible to receive and unload the material on conveyors set at any angle. Depending on the needs, turntables can by provided with an external conveyor: roller, chain, belt, or strip conveyor. Additional elements that enhance the operation of turntables include: side guides, buffers, systems protecting against tripping and sensors detecting the presence of the transported load (e.g. positioning roller). In addition to direction change, they are also used to sort products into a number of conveyor lines or to concentrate them on a one line. The turntable can be used among other things to transport pallets, baskets, containers, boxes, cardboards, or other loads. They are used most commonly in transporting pallets.
