ORATECH specializes in the composite machining of small parts (<19.5 inches/500mm) and large parts (up to 275 inches/7000mm). Our resources and expertise allow us to machine various materials: composite, fiberglass and carbon fiber, thermoset and thermoplastic, plastics and polymers, and more. For the aerospace sector, our EN9100 certification allows us to provide our customers with support during the industrialization phase, from the machining of prototype parts, from the first aerospace quality parts to mass production. Our mastery of processes and materials has brought our know-how to new partners in the automotive, defense and space sectors. Ultrasonic composite machining and surfacing With the end-effector developed by SONIMAT (another subsidiary of the EUROPE TECHNOLOGIES group), we perform ultrasonic cutting, with our 5-axis capabilities, of NIDA NOMEX panels, semi-cured composites, and other composite materials. These capabilities allow cutting up to 125mm thick as well as honeycomb surfacing.
