It is made of two different metal wires, usually in Copper / Constantan (official designation: copper / copper-nickel), which are connected at one end to form a junction. When this junction is exposed to a different temperature than the reference, an electric current is generated that can be measured to determine the temperature. High measuring range Type T thermocouples have a wide measuring range, from -40°C to +350°C. Reliability The T-type thermocouple is known for its reliability, due to its long-term stability and resistance to corrosion. Accuracy The T-type thermocouple is known for its relatively high accuracy, especially for temperatures below 350°C.
