Description

The FL-A Series Flow Switch is highly versatile and can be used in a multitude of fluid applications where a reliable flow indication is required. Typical applications include providing an alarm signal when emergency safety showers or eyewash stations are operated, protecting pumps, engines, motors and burners from low flow and allows automatic starting of ancillary pumps and heaters based on detected flow rate. The FL-A Series flow switch is a robust paddle type design utilising stainless steel 316L wetted parts guaranteeing long life. Designed to be mounted in horizontal pipework the switch is available either pre-installed in an equal tee ready for direct fitment into customer pipework, or supplied without a tee when it is desirable to screw the switch unit directly into an existing process connection. Models are available with process connections from 1/2" to 2". Utilising proven dry contact switch technology allows them to be used across a wide temperature range whilst providing output signals suitable for PLC monitoring and/or driving beacons or sounders where the 24A in-rush capability ensures that the switch can safely handle any start-up current surge. Volt free SPCO/SPDT (Form C) contacts are offered as standard with an option of DPDT (2x Form C). Operating temperature is from -60°C to +120°C. The FL-A Series is available either hardwired or with one of three wireable options (W, WL, WLR) which utilises our pioneering integrated junction box/connection head design. Euroswitch wireable flow switches alleviate add on components such as adaptors and junction boxes, and allow installation where space is at a premium.
