The BACK-UP ROLLERS produced by EVOLMEC are mainly used to improve the hard running conditions of straightening and sheet flattening machines, shears, rolling mills and conveyors belts. These bearings are manufactured with full complement of cylindrical roller and are suitable for heavy and concentrated loads. For a good distribution of the load these bearings have a very thick outer ring with optimized outer profile suitable to compensate the possible misalignment of surrounding parts of the machine. The rings are made in hardening and tempering steel (100Cr6 & 100CrMo7) with high hardness (up to 62 HRc). They are available with sealing system (lamellar double or triple rings), thermoplastic seals and labyrinth system. Externally they are protected by steel sheet protection subjected to anti-oxidant surface treatment. They are generally mounted in line or connected together by a sturdy shaft. On request they can be supplied in pre-selected groups to be mounted on the same row of the bank machine The back-up rollers with stud are used when the sheet metal to level has little relevant thickness. Unlike the previous execution the stud facilitates the mounting on the machine. The usual internal execution provides needle roller cages because the load to support is normally lower than the previous version.
