Model 6198-110 110 Gallon Chip Trapper The 110 gallon Chip Trapper by EXAIR is a patent pending device that offers a simple, quick way to clean coolant sumps. It removes the solids such as shavings and chips out of used coolants and other types of liquids. This allows coolants to last a lot longer. This trapper is ideal for use on machines with tanks, sumps, washers, etc. Coolant pump intake can be blocked when metal chips are in a machine sump. This reduces the flow of the coolant and causes damage to expensive components and tooling. The problem is eliminated when the Chip Trapper vacuum is used for regularly cleaning the sump. All of the solids are moved to a reusable filter bag, and only the liquid is pumped back out. Once the tank is empty, the pump and directional valve can be set to “empty” for the clean coolant to be pumped out.
