High-Voltage Power Supplies are generically configured consisting of an EMI (electromagnetic interference) filter, PFC (power factor correction) circuitry, rectifier, inverter, high voltage transformer, multiplier/rectifier-filter, high voltage divider, and feedback control system. How these design components are configured in the circuitry depends on the type of High-Voltage Power Supplies and the topology approach taken by the design engineer in meeting the specifications.
Higher power and/or higher voltage require more complex design solutions. The heat to be dissipated and installation infrastructure, plus choice of the high-voltage insulation system in a High Voltage Power Supply are driven by the output voltage and output power which ultimately dictates packaging. Our high-powered systems include advanced cooling techniques for power components, water cooling and sometimes oil cooling if needed. Our experience in these techniques are incorporated in our high-power designs to optimize the power density of the power supply and provide unparalleled performance in some of the most compact, high-output power supplies on the market today.
