The iANT217 is part of Extronics’ iANT2xx range of standard antennas. It is a rugged UHF antenna for use in hazardous areas. Its circular polarisation makes it ideal for use with UHF tag readers like the Extronics iRFID107 and iRFIDXN3.
Features
UHF antenna with circular polarisation
Suitable for Groups I, II, III and -20°C to 70°C
The iANT217 has been assessed by Extronics engineers as meeting the international intrinsic safety standards for simple apparatus. This means it is safe to use in hazardous areas when connected to a suitable certified wireless device with an intrinsically safe RF output, such as the iRFID107 or iRFIDXN3 Tag Reader or other solutions using the iSOLATE501 RF Isolator.
The iANT217 antenna cannot be used in the hazardous area when connected to an RF source that is not intrinsically safe.
Indoor and outdoor use
The iANT217 can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is made from durable UV-resistant ABS plastic with good thermal shock resistance. Rated to IP66 and with a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C, the iANT217 is suitable for most applications.
Gain and directionality
The iANT217 offers a gain of up to 7dBi. The spherical directional pattern is ideally suited for use in a wide variety of RFID applications, as it allows tags to be read in any orientation.
