The EX5200 is a low frequency device for use in indoor environments. The exciter’s robust and sophisticated RFID detection enables the system to identify and manage tags and entry/exit areas, zone boundaries, and other flow control situations.
Features
Trigger alerts and events for instant egress point detection
Leverage the same Wi‐Fi tags that provide real time location
Automate egress point control
Changed tag behaviour
Connect multiple exciters for greater coverage
The EX5200 exciter transmits low frequency (LF) signals to trigger AeroScout active RFID Tags as they pass through a chokepoint or as they approach the exciter. The tags in turn transmit messages to compatible Wi-Fi access points in the tag’s signal range. In the MobileView software system, this confirms that a tagged asset has passed through a gate, doorway, or some other well-defined area. In this way, you can identify when personnel reach an emergency muster point, enter a dangerous area, or travel between different locations.
Some examples of applications:
Automatic inventory management
Logistics organisations can update inventory records by automatically determining which assets are within the respective defined areas, thus ensuring real-time knowledge of inventory levels without manual checks or barcode scanning.
Process control
Manufacturing companies can track the location of equipment, carriers, and even the work-in-process (WIP) inventory during a production cycle. This provides a real-time view of production items, both in terms of type and quantity, which have progressed through each step in the process, thus streamlining the manufacturing operations.
