The iPOE103 and 104 offers customers a POE/Ethernet extender for Zone 1 and 21 hazardous areas. The solution is easy to install and connect with no setup or configuration required. Cable runs can be extended up to 700m with no degradation in network speed or latency. Multiple units can also be used in series for further extension. Simply connecting an iPOE103 in line with the network cable instantly doubles the range from 100 metres to 200 metres. iPOE103 enables network range extension to all POE devices that are compatible with IEEE 802.3af, which is the universal POE standard for low power network devices such as fixed IP cameras. In addition, iPOE103 is compatible with POE Plus (IEEE 802.3at) and higher power 4-pair POE (IEEE 802.3bt) up to 90W. Note that iPOE103 is designed for connection to POE compatible equipment only. If POE power is not required, Extronics iPOE104 should be specified instead.
