As an alternative to wood carpentry, it affords all of the environmental advantages of aluminium. The coating is applied to a base of non-TGIG polyester or polyurethane paint with a 0.23 mm sublimation film that comes in a wide range of colours. All of our coating processes are certified. Wood effect powder coating is an industrial process that decorates the aluminium using a technology based on the physical process of sublimation (heat transfer). Sublimation is a physical-chemical process whereby a substance moves from a solid state to a gaseous state without passing through a liquid state. The special sublimation dyes can be stamped on different types of supports and are transferred through a combination of heat and the pressure of the paint on the product being treated. This technology can be used to embellish different surfaces and materials with a variety of effects including wood, marble and fantasy effects as well as personalised designs. The process is as follows: 1) The product is powder coated with a special polyurethane or polyester base. 2) It is enveloped in a sublimatic film. 3) The product wrapped in the sublimatic film is aspirated using a vacuum system so that the film adheres perfectly to the surface of the product to be decorated. 4) The product, wrapped in the special film, is placed in an oven at a high temperature, which causes the sublimation of the dyes to achieve the desired decorative effect. 5) Once complete, the product is removed from the oven and the film, now dye-free, is easily eliminated. 6) The product is now decorated and ready for the next step.
