Description

Tension levelling is a levelling process consisting of a combination of stretching (flange rolls) and bending of the material (overlapping on the levelling rolls). It is the combination of these two processes that differentiates tension levelling from so-called “multi-roll” levelling, resulting in higher levels of plasticisation. With multi-roll levellers, plastification ratios of 80% of the thickness can be achieved, while the tension levelling is used to plasticise the entire thickness of the sheet. As such, the main benefits of our tension levelling lines are as follows: Perfect flatness Increase malleability Improve surface finish The main characteristics of these lines are as follows: Specially designed back-up rolls and thrust bearings. Weld passing sequences. Quick changing device for work rolls. Automatic adjustment of elongation. Automatic control of intermeshes. A very efficient tension leveller equipment with 2 levelling units, enabling: Increased efficiency of flatness correction. Improved flatness, especially for strip with high yield point. It is possible to run using one unit while the second is undergoing maintenance. Crossbow and coilset correction by specific flexion unit. Sectors Steel mills Service Centers TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The tension levelling is composed of 3 main parts: inlet flange rollers, levelling units and outlet flange rollers. In this way, depending on the type of material (steel / aluminium) and the thickness to be processed, they are sized to achieve optimum flatness of the material. The heart of this system is the levelling unit, which is made up of 3 different parts: immersion rollers (1 or 2 units),
