Transfer presses with an additional cutting slide make it possible to process coils directly, optimising the raw material usage for parts drawn out of a blank with a circular shape. This is done by the means of a “zigzag” or transversal movement of the strip and a staggered cutting of the discs.
The cutting of the blanks in an external station reduces the size of the main drawing slide, improving the rigidity of the transfer and optimising investment and space.
Two separate slides also allow optimisation of the stroke of the cutting slide, which is always reduced compared to the main drawing slide stroke.
The external slide is advanced 120º before the main drawing slide to avoid a bottleneck during the feeding of the blanks, improving the output of the installation.
FAGOR ARRASATE offers monobloc and tie-rod solutions depending on the needed tonnage and size of the installation.
