Description

FAGOR ARRASATE designs and manufactures cold forging mechanical presses, for both cold extrusion and calibrating operations. Depending on the case the cold forging mechanical press can be driven by a knuckle joint or an eccentric drive type, each of the drives are more suitable depending on the speed or the required application point of the forging process. This makes knuckle joint presses generally more suitable for processes where you wish to start forging from a higher point or where a slow speed is required near the BDC. On the other hand, presses with eccentric kinematic chains are presses with simpler geometry compared to knuckle joints, and also allow the transfer more time to move the parts. With regard to mechanical cold forging presses, we must not forget calibrating presses, which are the ideal replacement for traditional hydraulic calibrating presses. Among the many advantages of mechanical calibration presses over hydraulic ones is the ability to multiply the working rate.
