Cut-to-length (LCT) lines are designed to transform a parent coil into flat packaged parts. The formats obtained in this type of line can be used in various sectors, the Automobile market being one of the most relevant. The main aspects of the products obtained when used in the automotive sector are: A high surface quality, especially when processing stainless steel, O5 steel, aluminium or other delicate metals. Optimal flattening (measured in I-units) A burr-free cutting quality. Stacking of packages obeying perfect geometry, without shocks or marks. The design and construction of the machines guarantee high productivity and reliability. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The most relevant machines that are integrated in a cut-to-lengt line are: At FAGOR ARRASATE, our catalogue includes a comprehensive range of rollers to cover a range of working thicknesses required for this type of line. In the case of the automotive sector, the thickness of the material processed is usually a maximum of 4 mm and mechanical levellers, (the most commonly used) or hydraulic levellers can be used. The leveller will have additional functions so that it can be adapted to the degree of automation and productivity required by the line, such as automatic cassette changing (< 5 min), LSA (Leveller Setting Assistance), a roller cleaning system, levelling roller materials and finishes, and other features. The function of the leveller is to eliminate the internal tensions derived from the coil manufacturing process, as well as to eliminate local defects (pockets, ripples, etc.).
