The heat detector TM 1/9 Ex detects temperature increases in industrial protection applications, to protect against fire. The detector continuously measures the ambient temperature and triggers an alarm when the temperature reaches the programmed threshold value. With rapid increases in temperature, unique algorithms process the data to raise an early alarm, even before the detected temperature meets the programmed temperature threshold value.
The detector can be connected to every GreCon control console using a standard three-core cable. A range of mounting adapters provides flexibility to suit any environment. The control console interfaces with the detector to monitor temperature increases, allow configuration of detection parameters and provide automated checks of detector functionality.
Key benefits
Flexible to suit many applications due to a range of programmable temperature thresholds between 60°C and 135°C
Obtain early notification of rapid temperature increases caused by overheating machinery
Precise temperature measurement through PT1000 sensor
Real-time detector status via LEDs
ATEX approved for Zone 20, and EN 54-5 approved temperature detector for temperature class B
Technical specification
Summary
The TM 1/9 Ex is a thermo detector and has two different trigger functions that work in parallel. It reacts to the adjusted temperature threshold and triggers an alarm upon a rapid temperature rise which is typical of fire.
