The mat scanner GreCon BOARDSCALE HT determines the surface weight as well as the transverse distribution with high resolution on 200 mm width. As opposed to conventional surface weight measurements, the operator and technologist first receive a high-resolution image about the material distribution.
Benefits at a glance
Contactless measurement
Identification and optimisation of the material use
High precision and flexibility thanks to very fine resolution and tare-free measurement
Fluctuations in the material distribution can be detected and corrected immediately
Possibility of classification of the product
Possibility of optimum target weight adjustment
Low space requirement
Reduction in the manual sampling through permanent illustration of the transverse profile
Long-term analysis for permanent optimisation of the process with verification possibility
Integration into quality management for the fulfilment of the required standards
Measuring certainty through calibration possibility, even with short panel gaps
Measuring Method
The BOARDSCALE HT works as per the absorption measurement process. An x-ray source is located above the material. A high-precision detector below measures the remaining rays not absorbed by the material. The surface weight and the material distribution can be determined from the degree of weakening of the specific density of the penetrated material.
Calibration
BOARDSCALE HT is equipped with a calibration test function.
For this purpose, the measuring levels in the gaps of the panel are recorded automatically and the corresponding correction values are calculated.
