The GreCon EDGEINSPECT system uses compact laser sensors to enable reliable and precise detection of edge defects. These sensors are particularly effective because they operate with laser beams that can detect the finest details of the edge shape.
Image 1 Single Compact Laser Sensor
The compact laser sensor is positioned on the underside of the component and captures the rounded edge up to the break point. This method is used when the customer has defined only one visible edge as the inspection area.
Measurement Range: From the underside over the rounded edge.
Application: Ideal for components with only one defined visible edge.
Goal: Accurate detection of defects such as cracks, breakouts, or irregularities along the edge.
Image 2 Two Compact Laser Sensors
Here, two compact laser sensors work simultaneously to inspect both the top and bottom sides of a component. This configuration allows for the inspection of two visible edges.
Measurement Range: Detection of potential defects on both edges of the component.
Application: For components with multiple visible edges, such as doors or furniture panels.
Goal: Complete detection of defects on the top and bottom sides to ensure the highest quality standards.
