The GreCon LENGTHCONTROL measuring system determines the length and speed of solid, soft and moist materials by means of non-contact measurement using laser beams. The main focus when using the length measuring system is on optimising the documentation and control processes for our customers. In addition, material costs are also saved by reducing waste. For example, if a panel that is too long is often still acceptable to the end customer, this means high material and production costs for the producer. By measuring 100% of the panel length, the cut of a diagonal or cut-to-size saw can be monitored and constantly corrected. Precise graphical and numerical displays allow the operator to intervene in the cutting process in good time in order to achieve consistent panel quality while optimising the use of material and energy. The measured values can be recorded right up to the edges of the material. Depending on the requirements, the length and speed can be determined on panel-shaped products or even in the endless application. LENGTHCONTROL is particularly ideal for production systems with a very high throughput speed, where space is limited or where the ratio of panel length to acceleration is unfavourable.
