Description
The Superconnettore, together with the integral cap, encourages the installation of the segment in the tunnel and ensures a perfect alignment in the connection of the contiguous segments with an easy insertion and extraction and an adequate seal to counteract the exerted force on the segment by the gaskets. It also ensures the continued position of the segment in the eventual and accidental default by the pressures of the TBM.
