This machine is used to split blocks and slabs into very thin sheets. The material is placed on a vacuum table and sucked by the emerging vacuum. During the splitting procedure the beginning of the split layer is directly sucked to a special take-away conveyor just right on the knife and is transported to the operator in front. By that means the contact between the material and the knife guide and consequently shades and marks on the material surfaces are considerably reduced or avoided. The standard execution of the machine is designed for a maximum layer thickness of 50 mm. The minimum layer thickness can vary between 0,3 and 1,0 mm (0,01 – 0,04”) (depending on the material)
