V.F Heat Flux Tester, VFHT, Vertical Furnace Critical Heat Flux Tester, Modified apparatus by Fire Testion Procedure Code 1, KS F 2268, FTP Code 1
It is a heat (radiant heat) flux tester of limited window or fire-retardant door to prevent spread of fire and to secure exit path near the window or fire-retardant door.
This tester is used to allow heat radiation test for supplementing fire protection test of windows in Grade A, Grade B, and Grade F compartment for ships specified in FTP Code I / Annex 1/Vol. 3/ Appendix 1. It refers to heat flux testers through windows to prevent spread of fire and secure exit path near the window as window is featured by limitation of heat radiation.
