It controls the position of aprocess valve that is actuated by apneumatic actuator. Thanks to the largeambient temperature range of–40 ... +80°C and its high degree ofprotection (IP66/67), it can also be usedunder harsh operating conditions. TheCMSH is a 4 ... 20mA loop-powered2-wire device. An additional powersupply is therefore not required.Configuration and operation can beperformed locally on an LC display usingoperating buttons. A HART interfacepermits remote access and integrationinto higher-level systems. There areproduct variants for single- or doubleacting actuators with safety settings (failsafe, fail in place). The product issuitable for attachment to actuators witha mechanical interface in accordancewith VDI/VDE 3845-1 (IEC 60534-6-2) orVDI/VDE 3847-2. The product variantCMSH-S-... has an internal positionsensor for detecting displacement/angle.Alternatively, an external potentiometricposition sensor can be connected to thepositioner on all product variants.
