Tacchella Pulsar external cylindrical grinding machines are characterized by their crossed, hydrostatic X- and Z-axes. The different series permit the use of conventional grinding wheels and CBN grinding wheels for high cutting speeds. Tacchella Pulsar grinding machines enable the machining of workpieces up to 2,100 mm long and 250 mm high and weighing up to 250 kg between the centers.
ADVANTAGES
HOW TO BENEFIT FROM TACCHELLA PULSAR EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDING MACHINES
ENHANCED PERFORMANCE
Tacchella Pulsar external cylindrical grinding machine enable the machining of workpieces up to 2,100 mm long and 250 mm high and weighing up to 250 kg between the centers. CBN grinding wheels (500 x 40 mm) can be used at speeds up to 120 m/s.
MAXIMUM PRECISION
The hydraulically driven tailstocks have generously dimensioned paths and structural dimensions and a device for fine cylinder correction that acts on the sleeve. Numerous devices for grinding wheel profiling, such as fixed diamonds or dressing wheels/ rolls, can be integrated into the workpiece spindle or tailstock or mounted as stand-alone units on the fixed longitudinal table.
GREATEST FLEXIBILITY
The workpiece spindle can be universally configured with fixed/rotating centers or only with a rotating spindle, overhung between centers or with special workpiece headstocks with C-axis and integrated motor spindle for grinding non-round shapes like threads, cams, eccentric tappets, regular polygons and special operations.
