Description

Self-aligning ball bearings are double-row rolling bearings and consist of an inner ring with two ball raceways and an outer ring whose raceway is in the shape of a hollow sphere. This enables angle maneuverability that can be used to compensate for skewing, shaft deflection or misalignment. Self-aligning ball bearings can be swiveled outward in the middle position, which allows them to compensate for misalignment, shaft deflection, and housing deformation. -For a rotating inner ring: up to 4°, sealed bearing up to 1.5° -For rotating outer ring or wobbling inner ring: lower Inadequate sealing can allow external environmental conditions to negatively impact running characteristics and thus a bearing’s service life. Tapered bearings are usually used in the C3 design so that the bearing clearance is not unreliably decreased due to the installation of the adapter sleeve.
