Description

Split plummer block for self-aligning ball bearings and spherical roller bearings Split plummer blocks have a housing with a removable cover so that they can be combined with the right roller bearing in accordance with the requirements. A classic combination consists of an SNK housing with a conical spherical roller bearing, an adapter sleeve, with or without locating rings, and a seal washer set. An end cap can also be used as an alternative to a seal. The components each have to be purchased and assembled individually, meaning that these products result in high installation costs. For this reason, ready-to-mount SRU spherical roller bearing units are the “modern” version. Materials The standard of FSQ bearing housings is made of grey cast iron. Certain housings are also available in spheroidal graphite cast iron (ductile iron) and cast steel if higher strength is required. However, housings in Stainless Steel is also can be supplied. For applications where housings of greater strength are needed, FSQ manufactures ranges of bearing housings of SSN, SSNK, SSD,SSAF... The bases of these housings are solid and may be drilled
