STEC roof fans cover volume flow rates up to 4,3 m³/s. The fan casing is made of black pre-painted galvanized sheet metal or aluminium and zinc coated sheet metal. STEC fans are equipped with high efficiency EC motors with integrated h speed controller. State-of-the-art CF3D fan impellers are optimized for low sound and offer further efficiency. The CF3D mix flow impeller is an ideal solution for roof fans. The combination of STECs standard features such as the speed controller, air flow measurement and the mounting frame, makes the fan very versatile for refurbishment. STEC fans are equipped with high efficiency EC motors and there is a large variety of control options. Demand controlled ventilation is required by ErP Regulations. In practise this means that all roof fans shall be equipped with a speed controller. STEC roof fan range with EC motor has an integrated speed controller and thus the whole fan range is fully ErP compliant also in this sense. Using demand controlled ventilation it is easy to adjust the correct fan speed and optimize the energy consumption. The desired airflow is adjusted by the EC controller or by a 0-10 V signal and can be measured by the air flow measurement system that is included as standard in the delivery. The optional digital Centrimeter air flow transmitter provides a means for displaying the fan´s air flow. The roof fan is equipped as standard by an easy-to-use opening mechanism for maintenance and cleaning.
