Description

To prevent entire wastewater treatment system from blocking and mechanical damages, the influent wastewater quality must be as uniform as possible. Balance tank is where nonuniform wastewater is first collected and mixed in order to be pumped forward to the wastewater treatment system at a more uniform rate. HOW DOES BALANCE TANK WORK The nonuniform (unbalanced) wastewater is first fed from the sources of its origination into the balance tank. The balance tank performs mixing and aerating of incoming wastewater to prevent settlement of solids prior to allowing the flow for further treatment. Both the unbalanced and the balanced flows are monitored and recorded by various sensors, and an average flow is calculated to determine the rate at which the pump must feed the liquid forward without tank overflow. EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR WASTEWATER BALANCING The goal of balance tank is to maintain uniformity of wastewater that is fed into the treatment system in order to keep the rest of the system run smoothly. Technology of balance tank includes the tank equipped with submersible mixing and aeration mechanisms and a set of level sensors, pumps and valves for incoming/outgoing flow regulation. An automated balance tank can also help to save in energy costs by regulating dosage of treatment and storing effluent produced during the day in order to treat a higher proportion of it at night when energy costs are less. • Balance tank (own produced or industry-standard one supplied through our partners) made of stainless-steel, PE / PP plastic or fiberglass • Installation, training and support
