Know the hygiene quality of raw milk before you start using it with fast bacteria and somatic cell count in one handy instrument.
Value
Small and handy instrument for Bacteria Count and Somatic Cell Count offers a rapid alternative to manual assay or semi-automated methods requiring reagent handling. Reagent bag system ensures exact reagent dosage every time reducing the risk of human error that can occur with other methods.
Sample type
Raw cow's milk, buffalo milk and goat milk.
Parameters
Bacteria count and somatic cell count.
Rapid results for somatic cell count and bacteria count
Results for bacteria count and somatic cell are delivered within nine and a half minutes (1.5 minutes for somatic cell alone). The method is the same as the well-known methods used in FOSS BactoScan™ and Fossomatic™ analysers used by raw milk testing centres around the world.
Flow system
Unique flow system directs the sample to a bacteria incubator or somatic cell mixing chamber where the cells are stained and then measured by the laser source. Two different laser intensity levels are used according to whether a somatic cell count or bacteria count is to be performed.
Automated reagent dosage and handling
Automated procedure ensures exact reagent dosage every time and avoids the need for reagent mixing. The reagent bag system is specifically designed for safe, contact-free use of reagents. The reagents are provided ready-to-use in bags. Place the bags in the instrument and close the door and you are ready to test.
