An articulated measuring arm is a mobile testing and measuring machine; its primary advantage is operating easily on parts of any size, probing even where traditional, 3-dimensional machines would have trouble reaching. This allows for taking 3-dimensional measurements of objects of any size, by puling up the arm to the object itself. WHAT IS A MEASURING ARM? A measuring arm is a high-precision device, developed to allow for measurement on complex-shaped or large sized objects which are hardly – or not at all – manageable by traditional measuring systems. Completely articulated, and capable of probing all control points o fan object regardless of its shape, a robotic measuring arm – with electronically controlled movement, and automatically logged results at every contact with the surface – allows for measurements which could hardly be obtained with other systems at the same level of precision and speed. For maximum ease of use, measuring arms are mobile, allowing for them to be pulled up to the objects they must measure regardless of their size. • This is a highly flexible measuring machine, featuring high versatility and ease of use, and incurring no substantial limitations in measuring elements that prove too hard to reach with traditional sustems. • The machine can be integrated both with RENISHAW contact probes and with Kreon Laser Scanners. • Easy to move and place next to the object to be measured. • Configuration allows for wide operating fields and great ease of use in the most diverse sectors (moulds, structural work, bodyworks, composite materials, assemblies, models…)
