Z. Tex 4427 is a solventless adhesive suitable for bonding leather, fabrics, woven-non woven, felt, and foam to wood, polyurethane, foamed polystyrene, for spray application.
• High cold tack of the adhesive film
• Solventless
• One way or two application
• High green strength even with poor absorbing materials
• Excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates
Typical uses
• For bonding fabrics and leather to foams, wood, cardboard in furnishing, leather goods.
• For bonding fabrics close to foamed polystyrene in helmet production.
• For bonding carton, leather to latex, wadding, jute.
• For lasting operations.
Properties
Composition : polychloroprene elastomer in water dispersion
Mode of setting : by evaporation of water
Colour : dispersion is white, turning transparent when drying
Solvents : solventless, not flammable
Temperature resistance : high to dry heat (approx. 80°C)
Method of use
Application: apply the product in an uniform coat on to both surfaces using airless equipment or spray device at low pressure 1,8-2,2 mm. nozzle. Prevent the formation of hoarding and drops. The application can be one way or two. An even coat of adhesive assures a regular drying of the whole surface to be bonded.
In one way application (only porous substrates) join and lightly press the sides when the adhesive is still wet within 2’-5’ maintain the position for short.
Generally the drying is complete in 10 minutes at room temperature (23°C; 50% r.h.). After bond strength noticeably reduces. Initial strength develops by a light pressure onto both sides to be bonded. The time can be reduced by infrared rays or hot air.
