Impregnation resin SD / 14 - SD / 14 EL

SD 14 e SD 14 EL are solutions of synthetic resins specific for treating, before the insertion in the mould, the leather covers of the heels. When dryed SD 14 EL produces a film with high flexibility, particularly suitable for the production of heels showing highly bended surfaces. Properties Composition : synthetic resins and a blend of organic solvents Colour : white Solvent : esters Technical data SD 14 SD 14 EL Solid content (%) : 32 - 35 35 - 37 Viscosity mPas (Brookfield sp.4,speed 50 ,25°C) : 1.000 - 1.200 600 - 800 Method of use Application: apply by a roller spreading machine a coat of adhesive on the leather cover. Since the best performances are obtained with a thick layer of adhesive and with a good impregnation of the leather, in the presence of strongly absorbing materials it is reliable to apply two coats of adhesive, repeating the operation after 10’-15’. Dryng time: generally the drying is complete in 20-30 min. at room temperature (23°C; 50% r.h.). The cover can then be used to mould the heel. It is possible a delayed use too, up to some week after the tretment. Thinner: ST/133
