GASKET SIL N is a neutral silicone sealant, non-corrosive, resistant to inorganic lubricants even in the long run. Permanently elastic at a temperature range between -65°C and +250°C, periodically up to 300°C. Excellent filling properties also with not overlapping surfaces. • Neutral reaction; it can be used on to corrosion sensitives materials. • Good resistance to lubricants. • It preserves elastic properties from -65°C to +250°C constantly. • Strong adhesion to iron, aluminium, glass, ceramic, ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, polyamide, polystyrene, and other painted surfaces. • High resistance and flexible bonding of surfaces with different thermal expansion. Typical uses • Sealing of engines, car components, transmissions, heat exchangers, cooling systems, oil-immersed hydraulic systems, lighting installations at high temperatures, transformers. • Sealing and capping of electronical components and electric connectors. • Flexible and resistant bonding on to materials with different thermal expansions Properties Curing system: oxime at low content of Meko < 1% Method of use Surface preparation: the surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease. GASKET SIL N shows excellent adhesion to iron, aluminium, glass, ceramic, ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, polyamide, polystyrene. Liquid gasket shaped on site: apply a bead of GASKET SIL N on to only one side to be joined. nThe assembled components can be used after 60 minutes, even if the curing has not completed yet. Liquid gasket cured on site: apply a bead of GASKET SIL N on to only one side to be joined. Wait 10 minutes (bead 2 mm. thick) before any movement.
