Description

SER 2000 is a one-part silicone sealant reacting with the moisture of the air, fast curing. Excellent elasticity, low modulus, compatible with a great variety of materials used in building industry. It’s suitable for use in sanitary areas. Ser 2000 is characterized by: • Primerless adhesion to glass, metals, many painted surfaces, porous materials like concrete, plaster, many plastics, ceramic. • Neutral reaction. • Paste, easy aplplication. • Low odour and no metal corrosion. • Excellent ageing resistance. • Flexible at low (-40°C) and high temperatures (+150°C). Campi di impiego • For metalwork. • For glazed surfaces. • For perimetral sealing of door and window frames. • Sealing of expansion joints in prefabrication. • For sealing joints in sanitary areas. Properties Curing system : alcoxy Consistency : tixotropic, non-slumping paste Method of use Adhesion and surfaces preparation: the surfaces must be clean and dry, free from dust, oils or polluting substances. Metals must be degreased. Ser 2000 has good adhesion on porous materials, painted metal and wood, rigid plastics as PVC and GRP. For concrete, aluminium, coated steel the use of Primer can be required. In consideration of the variability in nature and conditions of such surfaces, the use of a suitable Primer may be required, so previous testing is always recommended.
