The series 88 offers effective protection and safety from the adverse effect an arc. A power distribution system has to have such protection and that is a key requirement. Arcs may prevent the opening of doors and covers. They may burn holes in the casing as well. Indicators may not glow and also the circuit of the protective conductor needs to remain functional. This sort of protection is now offered by the series 88. The successful testing of IPH acc. to I EC 61641, respectively VDE 0660 Part 500/2 has been passed as required, confirming that health of personnel and their security at all times.
